Literature Text

Tonight I watched the Sky cry
Messengers to the brick pavement
The light flickering and draining my eyes
Moist bricks reflecting the wetness in my pale ovals
Twinkling, the rocks winked at me
I felt like stroking them
The beat of the drops has defeated vision
Bitterly icy, the wind whispers ancient chills to me
My mouth slightly agape
My fingers trace the tears from heaven
They make their way toward alive, glossy ground
I follow the tiny tree branches as they climb and crawl toward the Sky, hooking onto it like a painting
My breath is smoking, tasting the angelic drops as they reach my cracked lips
I eagerly drink at them
They are not salty like mine
But almost a sweet taste that this moment savors
My rest destroyed
Calamity reborn
Like spiders, sorrow creeps into my soul
Lacing it and licking it with dread
It plants unwanted kisses of malevolence upon my lips
The pellets from my eyes
The Sky makes them with me
Oh how I am envious of your beautiful, sweet tears
How I wish I to shed them from my opaque ovals
I shed tears of salty plain
Yet, why at all are you and I crying, Sky?
Sorrow must consume us both
It's grasped me and used me
I am it's Love, Sky
It strokes my head
It's evil, sharp fingernails caressing my face lovingly
I sit by and watch as it shakes the world
Don't worry, Sky
We'll make it out alive
I promise
I promise of all my tears and ghost smiles
I promise on the shimmering pavement
I promise on the blackened sky and crawling branches
My promise is the only thing I can give to you
